You cannot afford to "stub your toe"
on a convention center project. They are high profile projects that are usually governed
by public works. Frequently they are one of the largest projects that a jurisdiction has
ever undertaken. The public watches each step with careful scrutiny. |

McCleskey Consulting, Inc.
was formed to assist owners, architects, engineers, contractors and
facility owners understand the mechanical and electrical engineering related issues. There
are several firms in the business of consulting to the convention center
industry. However, I know of no other firm to consult on mechanical,
electrical and plumbing/fire-protection engineering issues.
As
Mr. McCleskey has become a LEED™ Accredited Professional.
McCleskey
Consulting can also assist in the process of achieving
LEED™
certification. |

McCleskey
Consulting, Inc. offers consulting services
for conceptual/schematic design, cost review based on historical data,
value engineering, plan and specification peer review and assistance
during construction phase services. By helping engineers of record
understand how this unique building type works, systems can be designed to
be less expensive. By reaching the appropriate design criteria sooner, the
cost of design is lowered. By helping building officials understand,
simpler systems can be used to meet code requirements. By helping the
design team and building officials, the Owner benefits from reduced
construction costs and fewer change orders. |

D. Michael (Mike) McCleskey,
President of McCleskey Consulting, Inc., has
designed convention centers and other public assembly and public works
projects for many years. He is service oriented and pro-active. For
twenty-two (22) years the majority of his work has focused on some of the highest profile convention
center projects in the country, from Vancouver, B.C. to Puerto Rico and San
Diego to Boston. As project principal, project manager and/or project
engineer for the mechanical and electrical systems for over a billion dollars of
construction costs, he has the knowledge and experience needed to bring solutions together
quickly. The depth and breadth of his experience gives him the vision to see past the
superficial question to offer solutions and roadmaps to solutions while less experienced
personnel are still feeling overwhelmed. |

|
Make no mistake about it, companies do not "do"
projects, people do! Mike has done them and can do yours. |
