August 2, 2002
. The
Reno-Sparks
Convention Center
opened four months early and well under budget.
The project constructed approximately 130,000 square feet of new
exhibition halls, a multi-use ballroom of approximately 30,000 square
feet, new meeting rooms, a food court and other amenities. The project
gives a new "presence" to the existing facility. Important
parts of the MEP design were driven by the need to coordinate with
asbestos abatement, demolition and phased construction.
