The concept
program for this building calls for work in three parallel phases. The
first is to replace and expand the central utility plant to 2500 tons. This
is a particular challenge since the center must remain in continuous
operation. The second phase is the construction of a major 60,000 SF
ballroom and 40,000 SF junior ballroom. The unique challenges here are that
there is only one permanent wall in each space. This allows for multiple
configurations of break out spaces. The third phase is renovation of the
existing public spaces. McCleskey Consulting’s
role is as a consultant to the engineer-of-record for mechanical, electrical
and plumbing engineers-of-record. As of June 2008, the project is in schematic design. |
